This is a cosy and clean hostel which is very good value for money, and staff were friendly and happy to help. Although bathrooms are shared there are plenty and I never had to wait to use a toilet or shower. I visited on work and it provided a nice environment to study in the evenings and is located within a few minutes walk from supermarkets and a metro station. I'll likely return on my next trip!
Superb place in relation to its price. It is near to the underground station Blaha Luzja Ter, the next bus stop and even the zebra crossing to the other side of Rakoczy utca is directly in front of the house. Important, because the other side is considered the hub of Budapest (for young people). My advise is, to take all the comments from other guests, so far, and you will get a good picture. Personally, I had a very good stay at the hostel and I would recommend it.
I picked out this hostel's private quad room with a group of 3 other people, since it's a safe walking distance from most of the tourist attractions, including the train station, the Basilica, and the Dohany street synagogue. It's dirt cheap and it's squeezed in an apartment complex between 2 buildings meaning it's very small, but don't judge too quickly-it's very clean on the inside, has plenty of showers, a lounge, and a kitchen set with everything you'll need. Beds were more comfortable than plenty of "fancier" hostels I've stayed in. The staff were incredibly helpful, and even mailed back some of my belongings that I left behind by accident. You can't go wrong with this hostel, I fully recommend it.
It is a cheap hostel, perfect for backpackers. We got a single room and we have everything we need.
There is a kitchen so you can prepare a quick breakfast. The hotel is exactly where the city center starts and it is 5-7 minutes walking from one of the most popular ruin bars of the city "szimpla kert"
We stayed at LIVE hostel for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience. The rooms were very clean and check in was super easy. It's a smaller hostel but big enough to where we could spread out some. I would definitely recommend it for groups of friends backpacking together but it's not really a hostel if you're looking to make a ton of friends when backpacking solo. Very cheap and totally worth the money. A 5 minute walk from the most famous ruins bar/ Jewish district. 5-10 minutes from the metro, 15 min walk from one of the train stations.
We loved staying here. Will hopefully come back.
Liked: This is a really small hostel. I really liked the homey feel to it, but if you're looking for a party hostel this is not it. The showers were really cool, and the decor was lively.
Disliked: I personally found one of the beds in our room quite hard, though my friend didn't seem to think it was a problem at all.
I stayed here over the bank holiday weekend, it was so cheap for 3 nights - very basic but you get what you pay for! And the location of the hostel is perfect, very close to all the night life and you can easily walk into the central tourist area too. The hostel staff are very friendly and gave us excellent recomendations on where to eat. Also very helpful in helping me find some lost belongings! I would definately stay again and recommend to anyone!
Liked: David welcome is and is very helpful and friendly by recommending places and cheap local Hungarian food to us. Great location !
Disliked: Should had a small corner to hang out cloths in the room.
Liked: Central location, they just opened so everything is brand new! They recommended a nice restaurant for dinner and I also got a small present from them as being one of their first guests :) Nice guys!
